My husband says that however much time I say I will take to do something to always multiply by 3 or 4. I really (I mean REALLY-REALLY-REALLY) hate to admit this, but he's right. 😬 I couldn't believe it when I looked at the calendar and realized it had been FOUR months since I had last emailed. Note to self: for the love of God, set a calendar reminder! 🤦

I hope you can forgive me and I truly appreciate you hanging in there with me. 💗

The Light at the End of the Tunnel

In my last message I had just gotten back on track with writing Gods & Guardians book 3. I am very happy to report that I am just about 75% finished with my rough draft. I have been writing about 6,000 words a week and so using actual math (and disregarding for a moment my time management issues) I could be finished by the end of September. Once I have a the rough draft I will feel confident enough to put it up for pre-order.

Which brings me to my next point. The COVER! I am in the process of having the cover designed and will let you know as soon as that is done. If you have any ideas for what you would like to see on the cover, please let me know! I would love your input.

Behind the Scenes & Character Takeovers

Are you on Instagram or Facebook? I've been posting behind the scenes posts there and am working on a really cool one this week.

The first week in August I visited family in the Ozarks, which as you probably know is the setting for Awakened (as well as where I grew up). I was able to get some video footage of the places that inspired some of the settings for Awakened and so am going to be posting that on Social Media. This includes the house on the edge of a cliff that Dru and his family live in and the Civil War Battlefield.

I've also created character takeover posts for this week and next. What is a character takeover you might ask? It's where my characters post and then answer any questions that are asked of them in the comments. Dru is scheduled to post THIS Thursday (August 17th) and Alayna is scheduled for NEXT Thursday (the 24th). I would LOVE it if you could participate.
